Zomi (Chin) captured medals for Myanmar at SEA Games 2009

sea2009Bangkok, December 20 (ZoNet): Zomi nationals from Myanmar Aung Ngai, Kap Cin Pau and Mai Nilar Htwe captured gold, silver medals for the Myanmar team at the SEA Games held at Vientiane, Laos from December 9 - 18, 2009. Aung Ngai of Mindat won the gold in women's 70m Compound bow while Kap Cin Pau, of Tedim was second in men's Judo Karate (Over 50 kg up to 55 kg). Mai Nilar Htwe of Kalewa also won the silver medal as a team leader for Myanmar's Women Soccer team.



mascotPrevious gold medal winners of Zomi nationals at SEA Games are Vial Za Kam (best player -soccer), Mai Nilar Hwe (soccer - women), and Yin Hua Thawngluai won Women Championship for Taekwondo at the 24th SEA Games held in Thailand.

Myanmar won a total of 12 medals at the 25th Southeast Asian Games. Southeast Asian Games is also known as SEA Games.
